Abundance of Sacrifices

“Furthermore Solomon consecrated the middle of the court that was in front of the house of the LORD; for there he offered burnt offerings and the fat of the peace offerings, because the bronze altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offerings, the grain offerings, and the fat” (2Ch 7.7).

Is it possible to offer so much to God that there would not be enough to store it? If you were to offer an abundance to God, would you run out of things to offer and to live on? DR

Jesus and Your Feet

Jesus began to wash the feet of the twelve disciples, and when He came to Peter, “Peter said to Him, ‘You shall never wash my feet!’ Jesus answered him, ‘If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me’” (John 13.8).

Peter knew who Jesus was, and Peter could not imagine Jesus doing something like that. Yet, Peter had not been moved to wash the feet of Jesus.

Jesus in compassion, explained to Peter that this had to be done that he might have part in Jesus.

Sometimes we may not understand what and why the Lord does things with us, but go with it, for He knows what He is doing, and it is for your benefit, or perhaps for someone else’s benefit. DR
