A Thousand Years and Yesterday to God

What is time to God, as Moses said, “For a thousand years in Your sight are like yesterday when it is past, and like a watch in the night” (Psa 90.4)?

God is eternal, and what happened one hundred years ago, or one thousand years ago are as though the event happened yesterday.

Grace and Works

We are saved by grace, and we cannot do anything to earn salvation, like how we work at a job and then expect to receive a paycheck.

Paul argued, “And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work” (Rom 11.6).

Working to earn our salvation and God saving us by His grace, cancel each other out. It is either one or the other.
