The Certainty of Biblical Knowledge

 

  1. We can be certain about natural knowledge, at least to a degree. 
    1. It is there.
    2. it is objective.
    3. It is the work of God.
      1. We examine evidence of past,
      2. leading us to predict the future.
  2. We can be certain about criminal knowledge. 
    1. A jury considers evidence without having seen the crime.
    2. With certainty, they can condemn or acquit a suspect.
      1. It is there.
      2. it is objective.
      3. It is the work of God.
  3. We can be certain about historical knowledge. 
    1. We can read of it from credible witnesses.
    2. We can read the work of researchers.
      1. It is there.
      2. it is objective.
      3. It is the work of God.
  4. Why do people consider biblical knowledge less certain? 
    1. It is the testimony of actual events.
    2. These things happened even as nature, crime, and history happened.
      1. It is there.
      2. it is objective.
      3. It is the work of God.
