Has Someone Twisted Your Words?

You said something, but an enemy twisted what you said. David knew just how you felt, for it happened to him, “All day they twist my words; all their thoughts are against me for evil. They gather together, they hide, they mark my steps, when they lie in wait for my life” (Psa 56.5, 6).

The Book of Psalms shows the daily struggles of those who seek to live for God. Are you seeking to live for God? If you have not read the Book of Psalms, start reading it and discover that God knows your struggles. DR

A Hospitable Leading Citizen

Society has a tendency to look at the rich as snobbish, selfish, and rude, but after Paul had been shipwrecked on an island, Luke wrote this, “In that region there was an estate of the leading citizen of the island, whose name was Publius, who received us and entertained us courteously for three days” (Acts 28.7).

This man in his leadership position and wealth did not ignore people, but used his position and means to help others, in this case a large number of shipwrecked people.

We have to be careful not to judge people according to their class, but to see people as individuals and deal with them accordingly. DR
