Leaders Who Fail to Lead Will Suffer

By Don Ruhl

The Lord told Jeremiah to go into the streets to see whether he could find any righteous men, but he could not find any (Jer 5.1). Thinking that they were only common men, he thought he could go to the leaders and find some who knew the way of the Lord, but none of them were living the way of the Lord.

He then stated the aftermath that would come upon them,

Therefore a lion from the forest shall slay them…
Because their transgressions are many;
Their backslidings have increased.
(Jer 5.6)

The Bible stated it plainly. When a nation multiplies its sin, they suffer for it.

The Purpose of the Commandment

By Don Ruhl

Paul declared what the Lord seeks from us or in us by what He commands, “Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith” (1Ti 1.5).

He wants us to love from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith. He does not want love that is only a facade, but one that generates from the heart with all the right motives and attitudes.

Is that happening in your life?
