Do the Lord’s Will Totally

God ordered King Saul to wipe out the Amalekites, and the Bible says, “And Saul attacked the Amalekites, from Havilah all the way to Shur, which is east of Egypt” (1Sa 15.7).

Unfortunately, the Bible shows that while Saul did much of what the Lord said, much is not good enough. When we read in the Scriptures what the Lord wants us to do, we must do it completely and wholeheartedly. DR

Think on Commitment

Yes, we want you to become a disciple of Christ, but we do not want you to become one thoughtlessly, as Jesus Himself illustrated, “Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace” (Luke 14.31, 32).

You can succeed as a follower of Christ, but not if you become one haphazardly. Think about it, then do it. DR
