Searching for Justice
Job believed that God was persecuting him, but he had no one who could speak for him or set things right between him and God. Job lamented, “If I cry out concerning wrong, I am not heard. If I cry aloud, there is no justice” (Job 19.7).
What Job did not know was that God heard everything he said and would soon speak. Then he would be sorry for the things he said.
Likewise, as we wait for the resolution to our problems, we get impatient, but let us continue on the path of trusting God, and in time, we will see the solution. DR
Everyone Needs a Barnabas
After Saul’s conversion to Christ, he went to Jerusalem and tried to join the church there, but the saints of the church resisted it, fearing him. Then a friend stepped in, “But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. And he declared to them how he had seen the Lord on the road, and that He had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus” (Acts 9.27).
Barnabas risked his own reputation to stand with a man who had truly changed. Do you need someone like that in your life? Build your foundation of friends and see how they can enrich your life.
Do you need to be a Barnabas for a friend? Do not hesitate, but be a blessing for your friend. DR
