When Righteousness Reigns

Isaiah prophesied of a king reigning in righteousness and of princes ruling in justice (Isaiah 32.1), and when that happens, a man can be a blessing (Isaiah 32.2), and the blind will see and the deaf will hear (Isaiah 32.3), and the rash will gain understanding and poor speakers will become good speakers (Isaiah 32.4).

That holds true for when people make Jesus their king, and it is true when any nation lets righteousness reign. DR

Sharing in a Preacher’s Works and Fruits

The Philippian Church supported Paul financially in his work of evangelizing, leading him to say, “just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of grace” (Philippians 1.7).

When he preached, they shared in the results, whether that meant new converts or suffering.

They did not suffer directly, but since they backed him, it was as though they also suffered, and that is commendable before God. DR
