What Speaking Nonsense Will Get You

If you claim to speak the truth of God, be sure that is precisely what you do rather than just speaking nonsense.

Here is why. Listen to what the Lord God said to the false prophets of Ezekiel’s day, “Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Because you have spoken nonsense and envisioned lies, therefore I am indeed against you,’ says the Lord God. ‘My hand will be against the prophets who envision futility and who divine lies; they shall not be in the assembly of My people, nor be written in the record of the house of Israel, nor shall they enter into the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the Lord God’” (Eze 13.8–9).

The Lord painted a severe picture for those who make up things and then claim it came from the Lord.

To understand why the Lord said that those who do such will have the Lord’s hand against them by not allowing them to be in His assembly, think of your reaction when people intentionally misquote you. DR

Faith Removes Fear

The Lord told the parents of Moses to hide their son from the killing hand of Pharaoh, and what a blessing the parents of Moses gave the world.

Their faith in the Lord removed their fear of Pharaoh, “By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king’s command” (Hebrews 11.23).

Live by faith, not by fear, and you will see beautiful things as the parents of Moses did. DR
