Reaping as They Had Sown
Israel sowed treacherously, so they would reap treachery, “Therefore I will also make you sick by striking you, by making you desolate because of your sins. You shall eat, but not be satisfied; hunger shall be in your midst. You may carry some away, but shall not save them; and what you do rescue I will give over to the sword” (Micah 6.13–14).

The Dragon Persecutes the Woman
Another way to read the title of this article is, The Devil Persecutes the People of God, or The Devil Persecutes the Church.
After the people of God, Israel, brought Christ into the world, the devil went after the new form of God’s people, the church, “Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child” (Revelation 12.13).
Make no mistake about it, we have a vicious enemy who will do anything he can to destroy us, but resist the devil and he will flee from you. DR
