The Fountain of Life
David wrote of the Lord giving the children of men drink from the river of the Lord’s pleasures (Psa 36.8). David explained further, “For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light” (Psa 36.9).
The Lord created life, sustains life, and will give our bodies life again at the resurrection. So, yes, He is the fountain of life.
The end of the verse also made an interesting statement, “In Your light we see light.” While living in God’s light we see more light. God Himself is light, but His written word is light, prayer is light, the church is light, our life experience is light, and so on.
He gives whatever we need for life. Trust Him fully, therefore, with everything you have and everything you are, and you shall see more ways to find blessings in life. DR
Divide and Conquer
You have heard that you should divide the enemy against himself, then you can conquer him.
Paul did that to a certain degree when he stood before the Jewish Council and noticed that both Sadducees and Pharisees composed the group. Having more in common with the Pharisees, he then declared his belief in the resurrection, and that quickly brought the Pharisees to his defense, “And when he had said this, a dissension arose between the Pharisees and the Sadducees; and the assembly was divided” (Acts 23.7).
Does the enemy do that to the church? Do we let the enemy divide and conquer us? DR
