We Named Her Sierra Dawn: Part 3

Don Ruhl • Savage Street, Grants Pass, Oregon • March 24, In the year of our Lord Christ, 2019

Prelude

  1. Last week I said that 69,000,000 Americans
    1. are missing since January 22, 1973 because of abortion.
    2. However, the figure is actually much larger than that.
      1. That is 69 million Americans from age 46 and under.
      2. What I did not take into account are the children born from them.
        1. Let’s say a third of those would have married.
        2. That would be 23 million people in the marriageable range.
          1. They would have married from among that 69 million or
          2. from the others who have survived the American Holocaust.
            1. How many children would they have had?
            2. Some of them would be having grandchildren by now.
  2. Suddenly the number becomes much larger.
    1. Yet, we have killed them off or
    2. they never had a chance to be born,
      1. as in the case of the children of these missing Americans,
      2. all for the sake of convenience and the opportunity for unlimited sex.

Persuasion

  1. 5 Important Facts You Need to Know About Abortion in Oregon
    1. From the April–June 2008 Oregon Right to Life newsletter.
      1. In Oregon, abortion is legal for any reason at any time in the pregnancy.
        1. Even if Roe v. Wade were overturned,
        2. Oregon’s Abortion-on-Demand policy would remain.
      2. In Oregon, taxpayer dollars pay for more than ¼ of all abortions.
      3. In Oregon, it is still legal for a young girl to obtain an abortion without her parent’s knowledge.
      4. In Oregon, abortion clinics are not licensed by the state.
        1. A loophole in the law allows abortion facilities to be
        2. “self-regulated” by the abortionist.
      5. In Oregon, one in five pregnancies are aborted.
    2. Abortion Is the Leading Cause of Death in Oregon
      1. On average, each day in Oregon,
        1. 1 person dies in a motor vehicle accident,
        2. 5 die from respiratory disease,
        3. 6 die from stroke,
        4. 18 die from heart disease and
        5. 20 die from cancer.
      2. But, each and every day in our state, 32 unborn children are killed by abortion.
      3. Annually:

        6. Abortion: 11,602
  2. We are not the only ones to have named a miscarried baby.
    1. As I already told you, we named her Sierra Dawn.
      1. She was every bit human just as we all are.
      2. She was not developed enough to come to full term, but
        1. she was not only our baby,
        2. she was our daughter, born before Traci.
          1. I saw Sierra Dawn.
          2. I know what human babies look like.
    2. Another family you know
      1. named their miscarried baby Clayton Lee.
      2. He died sooner in the womb than Sierra Dawn did, but
        1. as you can see,
        2. he had the physical qualities of a human.
  3. Here are several sayings that are good on abortion.
    1. Abortion is the death penalty for someone else’s actions.

Exhortation

  1. Be sure that you do not vote for a candidate
    1. who promotes the shedding of innocent blood.
  2. God told the nation of Judah
    1. that He would remove them from the land and
    2. King Manasseh was the primary cause (2Ki 21.10–16) and
    3. then the Bible adds this,

16 Moreover Manasseh shed very much innocent blood, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another, besides his sin by which he made Judah sin, in doing evil in the sight of the LORD (2Ki 21.16).
      1. Do not let that be said of America and
      2. do not let it be said that you supported someone who promoted such.
  3. Psalm 106 reveals further
    1. that the innocent blood Israel and Judah shed
    2. was that of their own children,

34 They did not destroy the peoples,
Concerning whom the LORD had commanded them,
35 But they mingled with the Gentiles
      And learned their works;
      36 They served their idols,
Which became a snare to them.
37 They even sacrificed their sons
      And their daughters to demons,
      38 And shed innocent blood,
The blood of their sons and daughters,
      Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan;
And the land was polluted with blood.
39 Thus they were defiled by their own works,
And played the harlot by their own deeds.
      – Psa 106.34–39)
    3. The consequences for a nation that sheds innocent blood are terrible.
